Did you know that, according to an agreement with Pennsylvania, New Jersey does not require withholding from Pennsylvania residents’ earnings, salaries, or other remuneration if a Certificate of Non-Residence is filed with the employer?

New Jersey Wage and Hour Laws

Employers must pay at least $12 per hour to covered employees.

Except for the following personnel, who are not covered:

    • outside salespeople; those in executive, administrative, or professional positions;
    • automobile salespeople; and
    • employees under the age of 18 who do not have permission from a specific vocational school.

New Jersey Payroll for Employers

Employers subject to New Jersey’s wage payment statute are required to pay wages at least twice a month, with payment occurring no more than 10 days after the conclusion of a pay period. Every employee is protected.
